1.Strength properties

The strength performance of copper valve refers to the ability of copper valve to bear medium pressure. Copper valves are mechanical products that bear internal pressure, so they must have sufficient strength and stiffness to ensure long-term use without rupture or deformation.

2.The sealing performance

The sealing performance of the copper valve refers to the ability of the sealing parts of the copper valve to prevent media leakage. It is the most important technical performance index of the copper valve. There are three sealing parts of the copper valve: the contact between the opening and closing parts and the valve seat two sealing surface; Packing and valve stem and packing box matching; Joint of body to bonnet. One of the former leakage is called internal leakage, which is usually said to be lax, it will affect the ability of the copper valve to cut off the medium. For the block valve class, internal leakage is not allowed. The latter two leakage is called external leakage, that is, media leakage from the valve to the valve outside. Leakage will cause material loss, pollution of the environment, serious will also cause accidents. For flammable, explosive, toxic or radioactive media, leakage is not allowed, so the copper valve must have reliable sealing performance.

3.The flow of medium

The medium through the copper valve will produce pressure loss (the pressure difference before and after the copper valve), that is, the copper valve has a certain resistance to the flow of the medium, the medium to overcome the resistance of the copper valve will consume a certain amount of energy. From the consideration of energy saving, when designing and manufacturing copper valves, the resistance of copper valves to the flowing medium should be reduced as far as possible.

4.Opening and closing force and opening and closing moment

Open-closing force and open-closing moment refer to the force or moment that must be applied to open or close the copper valve. Closed copper valves, need to make the open-close part and send a form a seal between the two sealing surface pressure, but also overcome between stem and packing, the valve stem and between threads of the nut, valve rod end bearing friction and other parts of the friction force, and therefore must exert closing force and close moment, copper in the process of opening and closing, the valve is required for opening and closing force and the open-close torque changes, Its maximum value is at the final instant of closing or the first instant of opening. Copper valves should be designed and manufactured to reduce their closing force and closing torque.

5.Opening and closing speed

Open and close speed is expressed by the time required to complete an open or close action of the copper valve. Generally, there are no strict requirements for the opening and closing speed of copper valves, but some working conditions have special requirements for the opening and closing speed, such as some requirements for rapid opening or closing, in case of accidents, and some requirements for slow closing, in case of water strike, which should be considered when choosing copper valve types.

6.Movement sensitivity and reliability

This refers to the sensitivity of the copper valve to the change of medium parameters and the corresponding response. The functional sensitivity and reliability are very important technical performance indexes for the copper valves used to regulate medium parameters, such as throttle valve, pressure reducing valve and regulating valve, as well as the copper valves with specific functions, such as safety valve and trap valve.

7.The service life of the valve

It represents the durability of copper valves, is an important performance index of  brass  valves, and has great economic significance. Usually in order to ensure the sealing requirements of the number of times to express, can also be expressed by the use of time.
