(2) Spiral copper tube: generally, its strength is higher than that of straight seam copper tube. It can produce larger diameter copper tube with narrower blank. Copper tube material standard can also produce different diameter copper tube with blank of the same width. But compared with the same length of straight seam pipe, the weld length increases by 30 ~ 100%, and the production speed is lower. Therefore, straight seam welding is mostly used for small diameter copper pipes, while spiral welding is mostly used for large diameter copper pipes.
